In early Spring, 2009, the OCBC volunteered to contribute to the Old City Civic Association's Old City Clean Up Day by planting and distributing 100 flower pots.
On May 9, 2009 OCBC members, OCCA members, and Old City residents pitched in to turn 60 bags of soil (that's over 2000 pounds!), 600 flowers, and 100 16" pots, into 100 fresh and beautiful flower pots! Flower picks with marketing postcards for the Spring Stroll and Sidewalk Sale were placed in each flower pot to help promote the event for the following weekend. The freshly planted pots were distributed to 100 businesses througout Old City.
The flowers were a gift from the OCBC to the community, enabled by the generous sponsorship of Brandywine Management and Construction.
