Design and Fashion Night

Design & Fashion Night is a special evening to celebrate all things design-inspired. More than 20 participating graphic, product and digital designers, furniture and lighting showrooms, fashion boutiques and galleries will host special events for the night. 

What Will Happen?

Public Events
Fashion boutiques,salons, and other retailers will host events open to the public. Everything from designer trunk shows, exhibits, featured textiles and more.

For Example:
Margot & Camille will host an eyewear couture photoshoot.
 
Private Events
Galleries, designers, and showrooms will be hosting private events for their own clients to introduce them to other design-based organizations in Old City. These events are RSVP only and allow design enthusiasts to attend all of the private events for the evening - and - be inspired by fashion at neighboring boutiques open to the public with trunk shows and featured designers. Participants will send out invites which include a ticketleap link to their clients. 

For Example:
Minima will be hosting a photography exhibit open to their own private client list and open to attendees who RSVP to other private events for the evening.

When?

Wednesday, May 11th, 2011
 5:30pm - 8:30pm

Deadline: Thursday, April 21st (no exceptions)

 Restaurants

If you are a restaurant and would like to sponsor food for events or offer a promo for attendees of the evening, please Email the OCBC by Thursday, April 21st.
  
Participation and Guidelines 

Businesses are invited to participate by hosting either a public or private event. 

Private Event

Participants hosting private events (most likely galleries and showrooms) will send out announcements to their own client lists.

Participants agree to use  'A Design & Fashion Night' template for the email and to send it out on a selected date.

Proof of RSVP will allow attendees to hopscotch to other privately held events for the evening - and- enjoy shopping at boutiques and open retailers. Businesses agree to use a ticketleap link provided by the OCBC in an upcoming email in their client invites for RSVP (client privacy will be maintained on Ticketleap).

Participants agree to have an on-site email sign up list for new attendees and submit this list to the OCBC for the purpose of creating a public newsletter to promote events in Old City.

Participants agree to maintain the outside of their facade for the event, keeping a clean appearance.

Public Event 

Participants agree to the same guidelines mentioned above, with the exception of sending out an RSVP to their client list. Please do send out an email blast to announce your public event!

In addition, participants agree to host a special event for the evening: trunk show, exhibit, featured designer or more to make the night special. Please list your special event on the participation form .

-Logo of Business
-Every business is encouraged to also send their:

-Twitter handle (ie @maidenmedia)
