OCBC Intern
This is a great opportunity to connect with business owners, the design field, and work as an event administrator within a hip and thriving part of Philadelphia--Old City. Our organization will need an intern for the following duties:
Administrative
- Field telephone calls and e-mails for information requests, follow-up, and planning.
- Print and distribute posters, literature, and post cards
- Take notes at meetings and post said notes to Website
Event Coordination
- Participate in all aspects of event planning and coordination
- Act as liaison to businesses and community participants, ensuring they meet and follow event guidelines
- Plan receptions, parties, and other gatherings
Marketing
- Write press releases and maintain contact with press.
- Web: Maintain OCBC website, write updates, and blog.
- Cross-promote with other organizations and businesses
- Sponsors: Maintain contact with sponsors, and maintain sponsorship agreements.
- Marketing Materials: create marketing materials for distribution
Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop. Knowledge of Illustrator would be helpful but not required.
- Good Communication Skills: ability to be cordial and friendly while fielding calls and visiting business owners.
- Proficient Writing Skills: ability to write press releases and marketing materials. Good proof-reading skills.
- Self-Starter: Execution of projects from start to finish, meeting deadlines and objectives.
